IAR Embedded Workbench is a set of development tools for building and debugging embedded applications using assembler, C and C++.

IAR Embedded Workbench provides a completely integrated development environment including a project manager, editor, build tools and debugger. In a continuous workflow, you can create source files and projects, build applications and debug them in a simulator or on hardware.

Support

The Standard and Limited Editon include a one-year Support and Update Agreement (SUA). The agreement includes free updates and prioritized technical support.

After the included period, additional SUA can be purchased on a one-year basis.

Editions

The IAR Embedded Workbench come in several editions.

• Standard Edition - includes all features.
• Limited Edition - doesn't include the MISRA C checker, C-SPY Debugger and RTOS plugin.
• Baseline Edition - doesn't include the MISRA C checker, printed user guides, SUA and is also size limited to maximum 256KB compiled code.

The IAR Embedded Workbench is also available in an Evaluation edition and a KickStart edition which can be downloaded from IAR's website.
